Best known for the masses of Strawberry Anemones, Row and Be Damned is another popular current dive site across from Campbell River. Yellow Slime Sponge fills in the gaps between the blankets of anemones and surrounds isolated rocks covered in large barnacles. This is an area where you will find lots of Kelp Greenling, Quillback Rockfish and the occasional Buffalo Sculpin and Painted Greenling amongst the rocks and crevices. Pay attention to the spaces under the rocks and you might be rewarded with an encounter with a Giant Pacific Octopus with its eight arms and large suckers. Don’t get in a tug a war or you may lose a glove or even a dive light and camera.
